Lord Balderben and the Infinicorn of Destiny by Jake Parker

What’s more awesome geekness than a cybercorn? (a powerful, robotic, flying unicorn)

Today our #awesomegeekness award goes to Jake Parker, world renowned illustrator and creator of the phenomenally successful Inktober and World Art Drop Day. The award went specifically for his most recent Inktober project titled “Lord Balderben and the Infinicorn of Destiny.” (viewable on Jake Parker’s Instagram and Tumblr)

Lord Balderben Title

Needless to say, we are huge fans here at Awesome Geekness, and we’re hoping that Lord Balderben and the Cybercorns will make their way into a full comic book series; a motion picture; a collectible toy series; and some full-size, fully-functional, self-aware, flying robots!
A highlight of the 2014 Inktober series came with the final seven illustrations: seven Cybercorns, their pilots, their magic symbols, and the planets they represent. True fans will want to memorize these for use in fandom chats, cosplay recognition, and to endear Jake Parker to you, should you ever meet him.

We have created a public group on Name Shark (download it for free here) to help you memorize their names/faces/planets by quizzing yourself. Once you’ve downloaded Name Shark, here’s a video showing how to grab the group and start quizzing yourself.

We don’t know when Jake Parker is going to have time to fully develop Lord Balderben–he seems to always have dozens of irons in the fire. If it ever gets fully developed, count Awesome Geekness in guaranteed fans! 😀
